Trekking Poles—Should I Use One Nordic Walking Pole or Two?

When using two poles, you not only work out your legs while hiking, but your arms as well. You can burn up to 40% more calories than regular walking without poles. In addition, hikers who use trekking poles can typically travel further in a day while reducing the stress hiking places on the knees and feet. Your legs and knees will feel less tired as your shoulders and arms begin taking on some of the weight being carried.

Two poles are more efficient and will allow for a better workout, better balance and better overall health as they balance the strain of hiking throughout your body. Add them to your hiking route and explore to new heights
